Salty Souls Palm Cove

Guest Reviews

Overall the best house we have hired anywhere in the world.

We stayed at this delightful house for a week at the end of our holiday in NSW and Queensland. The house is really lovely – we were very pleasantly surprised. Our hosts Peta and Zac were really helpful and assisted us with planning trips and other questions we had and Bron the caretaker was great too. We travelled all the way from London and would thoroughly recommend this place as a really good, high quality place to stay. 5 minutes to the beach and very central for all that this wonderful region has to offer.

One particular thing we really wants to do was see the barrier reef in a private tour and we spent a wonderful day with Peta’s mates on their boat hired through Mirus Hire fishing and snorkelling.

Welcoming, Warm and a 5-Star Resort Vibe

My family of four stayed at Salty Souls in August and we had an unforgettable holiday, thanks to the luxury accommodation and the fabulous location to beautiful Palm Cove!
With two boys, 9 months and 10 years the accommodation was perfect. The property was full equip with all of the essential baby items including porter cot, high chair and change mat. This not only made is more comfortable for my little one, it also meant I didn’t need to hire baby equipment or travel with extra language.
My 10 year old loved the board games which we could all play as a family. The resort style pool was also a hit for the older boy. And with main living area overlooking the pool, my son could swim all day while I cooked in the kitchen and relaxed in the lounge room or on the sun bed on the patio.

The house is beautiful decorated with quality finishers. The owners have been able to create a home which is welcoming, warm and has a 5 star resort vibe. I have stayed in many 5 star homes and I would rate Salty Souls as one of the best due to the layout, designer style and quality appliances. The location to the beach, restaurants and shops is perfect. It is less than an 5 minute walk to the beach side, playground and bottle shop. The only time we used the car was to drive to the Clifton beach Cole’s which was only a 5 minute drive.  When I booked the accommodation, Peta was extremely helpful. She responded quickly to all of my questions and also gave us loads of local tips for restaurants and activities.  We had such a great time, we have booked again for next year.

See you then, the Butcher Family!

So close to the Beach, Restaurants and Shops we just strolled everywhere!

We just got back from an amazing holiday staying Salty Souls holiday house in Palm Cove, we did not want to leave!   My partner and I decided to make the most of some downtime before our baby is due in a few weeks and this house had it all, so peaceful and relaxing with a great tropical feel. I love to cook and the kitchen was fab, fully equipped and spotless. The house was very spacious, loved our alone time but the set up would be great for a group of friends with kids as well, pool area is lovely and is overlooked by the open kitchen/lounge/outdoor area so easy to watch the kids while relaxing or cooking. Also found a portacot/highchair/pool toys so we will be back to stay as a family!! So close to the beach, restaurants and shops we just strolled everywhere.

Thank you Salty Souls for making our last holiday until two becomes three a memorable one, we will stay again. Nile & Adam

Lovely, spacious, close to everything
A truly lovely, relaxing and spacious home. walking distance to beach and restaurants. easy access to captain cook highway for the drive to Daintree, Atherton and Cairns. we have thoroughly enjoyed staying here, the beach is stunning, there are many great cafes and restaurants to chose from and the location is central to all of the great things that North Queensland has to offer.  Easy drive to the Daintree, Granite Gorge, Atherton Tablelands, and access to the Great Barrier Reef.  So much to do in this area. Many lovely birds visiting the street, including bush stone curlews, olive backed sunbirds and rainbow bee eaters. The house is spacious with four bedrooms and two bathrooms, large lounge/dining area and a great backyard with a fabulous pool. we have absolutely loved our stay here.

Really impressed with all the extra touches in addition to the basics that are provided, it really is set up as a home with everything you may need on hand. It was so handy that so many basic pantry and fridge items are there, a great system where yourself and other guests are really paying it forward! I hope the couple of items we left behind will be useful for future visitors. The master bedroom setup is sooooo good, I would love something similar if we ever build again. I did miss not being able to see the beach but I think having our own pool did trump having the sea view although I did enjoy the different outlook with the mountains from the day bed where we spent a lot of time.

It was so quick to get to the esplanade, there are so many shortcuts depending on where you are going so we certainly weren’t far from the cafe’s etc. We had lunch and dinner at Vivo which was the first time we had dined there. We can see why it is so popular! We also had lunch at Chill Cafe was really good and also when we went to Port Douglas one day we tried the Tin Shed where we had the best prawns we had ever had!
